This five panel mural was commissioned by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the World Ocean's Day 2022 partners in conjunction with the Botwood Mural Arts Society (BMAS). It depicts over 100 species, all of which can be (or 'were') found in the local waters (including the record-holding giant squid, aka "kracken", which was brought ashore in neighbouring Glover's Harbour). The giant squid and the blue whale are shown in actual scale, extending across mural sections.
